Sleep among historic oaks and sycamores when you go glamping at El Capitan Canyon in Santa Barbara. At El Capitan Canyon you have the option of staying in a cedar cabin, canvas glamping tent or a glamping yurt. The cedar cabins come in a range of sizes with various options for sleeping arrangements, making them a great option for family glamping. Cabins have peaked ceilings, private bathrooms, kitchenettes and private picnic tables and firepits.

The safari tents are canvas tents with a queen or two double beds, electric lighting, trunk storage, end tables, chairs, wooden decks and firepits. The yurts sleep up to four and are situated on wooden platforms with canvas walls and domed skylight for stargazing.  They have electricity, a microwave, mini-fridge, picnic table and firepit. Neither the safari tents nor adventure yurts have private bathrooms, but instead are located near shared bathhouses.

Onsite, you will have access to resort-style amenities while still being able to unplug and connect with nature. El Capitan Canyon has private hiking trails to explore, complimentary bike rentals, a swimming pool, a playground, wine tasting and live music. The Canyon Market is the onsite general store, deli and market. This is where you can participate in wine tasting, pick up BBQ kits and fun lunch and more. El Capitan is a great way to get the family out, have fun and enjoy nature while glamping in Santa Barbara.

Family owned for four generations, the Circle Bar B Guest Ranch opened in 1939 and offers a unique family vacation experience. The accommodations range from Ranch House Rooms to Cabins and Cottages, and all the way up to Homestead Houses that sleep anywhere from 4 to 8 guests. The Ranch Rooms, Creekside Cottages and Private Cabins sleep up to 4 people with various sleeping configurations from King beds, queen beds to adult bunks. For larger families and groups, the two bedroom Cabins sleep up to 6 people and the Hillside Homestead sleeps up to 8. All accommodations come with a private bathroom, mini-fridge and coffee maker.

Circle Bar B Guest Ranch is a relaxed ranch where families can come enjoy the outdoors while enjoying the amenities of a resort. You will have access to the exciting activities that the ranch has to offer, including horseback riding, walking trails,  private library, pool, full bar, the main lodge with a grand stone fireplace, game room and more. Your stay also includes the dinner on your first night and the breakfast on your last day!

Cachuma Lake is a part of the Santa Barbara County public parks and offers various styles of camping options. You can reserve tent sites and hook up sites, but we are here to talk about the glamping options. Cachuma Lake Recreation offers cabins and yurt glamping with beautiful views of the lake. Cabins are one to two bedrooms that sleep up to 6 people with private bathrooms and kitchenettes.

The yurts sleep three to six guests and feature bunk beds, inside lighting and heating. Outside there are private porches with picnic tables, fire rings, BBQs and water spigot. Neither the cabins nor the yurts include bedding linens, towels or toiletries, so you have to remember to bring your own. 

Onsite you will have access to a general store, gas station, laundromat and shared bathhouses with hot showers. The activities available onsite are a children’s playground, nature center, swimming pool, lake cruises, fishing piers and hiking trails.

This western style glamping resort is a fun way to get the family out to enjoy fresh air and the great outdoors. At Rancho Oso RV & Camping Resort, you have the choice of staying in one of the Cottages, Cabins, Covered Wagons, Tipis or Glamping Tents. The Cottages and Cabins sleep up to six and have private bathrooms, kitchens and BBQ grills. The Covered Wagon, Tipi and Safari Tents are very basic with just four sleeping cots, there are no linens provided and you will have to use the shared bathhouse.

The Resort amenities include, a club house, playground, BBQs, basketball, pickleball, volleyball, a dog park, mini-golf, horseshoes, a game room, general store and laundry facility.  You will also have access to more great outdoor activities, like nature and hiking trails, horseback riding, swimming pool and hot tub. For meals, you can BBQ your own outdoor meals or enjoy the onsite restaurant.
