Located in Mobile Bay, this memorial park has a very rich history and it also has a huge collection of aircraft and chips. On top of this, some of the highlights include the fact that you have a fast battleship, bombers and even fighter planes from the Vietnam War. This is one of the best things to do near the Gulf Shore and it’s amazing to see how much history it has to offer. Some of the highlights include planes that were flown by the Tuskegee Airman along with various patrol boats. You also have the iconic M4 Sherman Tank which is great, to say the least.

McWane Science Center

Another place you may want to visit would be the McWane Science Center. One good thing about this location is that it is a science museum and it is also a research center. You have an interactive science exhibit and you also have an aquarium that is home to a number of freshwater species, as well as sharks and rays.

Of course, if you have young children then you have a young children’s play area there along with a water play area. This is a great way for you to help your kids pick up new skills and you may also find that there are a lot of different structures for kids to climb on too which is great, to say the least.
