TradeWinds is one of my favorite St. Pete Beach resorts for families, because of all the kid-friendly amenities and activities that are available. This expansive beachfront resort offers an impressive array of family-friendly amenities and activities that cater to guests of all ages. The resort boasts 5 heated swimming pools, including a toddler wadding pool, a 3-story water slide, a 20,000 square foot beachfront play area, and multiple hot tubs for guests to enjoy.

But that’s not all. The TradeWinds Island Grand also has a variety of supervised kids’ programs, including a pirate-themed live show and crafts with Red Beard the Pirate, and a supervised KONK Club for kids aged 4-11. For the adults, the resort has a full-service spa, a fitness center, and a range of water sports such as parasailing, jet skiing, and paddleboarding. There is also a lagoon surrounding the resort, that you can take a leisurely paddleboat ride through.

When it comes to dining, the TradeWinds Island Grand has numerous options to suit every taste and budget. Families can enjoy casual poolside dining, seafood and steak at a formal restaurant, or grab a quick bite at one of the resort’s cafes or snack bars. RumFish Beach Resort is another fantastic family-friendly resort in St. Pete Beach. This beachfront property boasts an impressive 11,000-gallon aquarium that serves as a stunning backdrop to the on-site restaurant, RumFish Grill. This unique feature makes dining at the resort an unforgettable experience for families. You can even snorkel in the aquarium, no joke! For ages 8 and up, you can actually go snorkeling in the aquarium! Before dinner, head to the Outfitter Shop for the cool Touch Tank Experience and get up-close and personal with fun little sea creatures.

But that’s not all the resort has to offer. RumFish Beach Resort features two heated swimming pools, a hot tub, and direct access to the beach, making it easy for families to enjoy the sun and water. The resort also offers a range of water sports rentals, including kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkeling gear. There is even a zipline and surf simulator that my kids loved!

At night, families can enjoy live entertainment, fire pits and complimentary s’mores on the beach. It is a wonderful way to enjoy the breathtaking St. Pete Beach sunsets. Also at night, the beachfront pool has color-changing lights, so it makes it really fun to do some night swimming.

The resort’s accommodations are spacious and comfortable, with many rooms featuring stunning ocean views.
