One of the best hotels for kids in Vancouver is the Fairmont Waterfront. They really cater to families, taking the extra step to add details that make a stay special for kids. They have child-size bathrobes, child toiletries, stepping stool, potty seats and more. They offer complimentary pool toys as well as complimentary bike rentals, including child-size bikes and child trailers. At the onsite restaurant, ARC, kids 5 and under eat free while kids 6-11 can enjoy an entrée of the adult menu at half price. ARC uses fresh and local ingredients in their dishes and cocktails, including fresh honey from their rooftop bee apiary and herbs from their own herb garden.
The Fairmont Waterfront is located at the cruise terminal and even works with Disney Cruise Line, handling the transferring of luggage. In addition, this hotel’s waterfront location yields some pretty awesome views. The hotel takes advantage of this waterfront splendor by providing ceiling to floor windows in the guestrooms and an amazing heated rooftop pool! It is this attention to detail and awesome location that makes Fairmont Waterfront our choice as the top kid-friendly hotel in Vancouver.

The Residence Inn Vancouver Downtown is one of the best hotels in Vancouver for families and a great choice if you have a busy itinerary and want a convenient location for a budget-friendly price. Start the morning with a delicious and complimentary breakfast buffet, before exploring the exciting city of Vancouver. There really is no need for an onsite restaurant, because the Residence Inn Vancouver Downtown is walking distance from a plethora of awesome Vancouver dining options.
Although there are suites, the best room for families is the Two-Queen Suite. It is not huge, but will sleep a family of four easily. The Residence Inn does not permit rollaways, but they do offer cribs for those traveling with babies. At the end of the day, come back to the hotel for a nice swim or relax on the outdoor patio around the fire pit. A very nice hotel with good rates is a winner in my book.

If you want to dine onsite, they do have a fabulous restaurant. C Prime was so good that we ate there twice during our visit! They have amazing craft cocktails, a beautiful atmosphere and homemade pasta. However if you feel the need to venture out, just walk outside the hotel because Century Plaza is the pick up location for many sightseeing tours. The Capilano Suspension Bridge Trolley, the Westcoast Sightseeing bus tour, and the TransLink city bus all have stops right in front of the hotel, which we found SUPER convenient.
