Firecracker slept in this morning, but CuddleBear was up at the crack of dawn, despite the time change! Yay!

While HotDaddy was down at the conference, the rest of us enjoyed a leisurely morning, enjoying the view of St. Pete Beach from our balcony. Morning coffee never tasted so good.

Later, I took the kids to the beach to play before heading to the beach front pool to swim until HotDaddy came back from his conference. We played and splashed, okay, they played and splash as I sipped on a Bloody Mary and tried to keep my bikini top on as they climb all over me! Where is HotDaddy???

We met for lunch at Salty’s, which is a cute little tiki bar on the beach. I love it, because there is live music and the kids can play on the sand while the adults enjoy some cocktails.

It wasn’t long before the kids go antsy, so we took them to beach to conquer the jumbo water-slide! This year we had two big accomplishments, Firecracker went down all by herself and CuddleBear didn’t cry!

We spent the rest of the afternoon soaking up the Florida sun and floating in the warm waters of the Gulf. It being the first day, I was painfully aware of how white my body was against my ignited red Victoria Secret bikini. So, I made my mission to get kissed and kissed often by the Florida sun. Pucker up baby!!

After we frolicked in the ocean, we hit the pool again before heading up to the room for a nap.

As the children rested I sat on my patio overlooking the Gulf and enjoying a Yuengling (a local brew) on the balcony with Grams!

After some debate, we decided on Beef O’Brady’s for dinner. It was late, we were hungry and we wanted to get over to Guy Harvey Resort for drinks around the Sandbox lounge.

We never made it Guy Harvey…

Another tropical storm brewed up.

At first, we watched as the lightening raged out at sea from the hammocks on the beach, but then a cloud suddenly opened up and drenched us yet again. We ran to our room, our plans dashed, but we salvaged it by mixing up cocktails in the room and watching the storm from our balcony. It turned to be a really fun night after all.
